Embellishing fabric has been a passion of mine since early childhood. In my current collection I utilize numerous surface design techniques, including Shibori, painting with fabric paints, stamping and tying. The aim in most techniques is to block the dye from coloring the cloth in certain areas while allowing it to penetrate in areas you want color.
The goal is to organize this process as much as possible, however, it is the “happy” surprises which makes the process so interesting and alluring. The results are always a mixture between what you want to achieve and what the limits of the medium allows you to achieve. Thus, each item is totally unique and is original.

Tunics can be worn anywhere, are comfortable yet look dressy and nice in any setting. Most of the tunics are meant to fit more than one person as they are loose, yet sewn with a slight curve at the waist to add shape to the garment. Some are hand painted others are dyed with shibori dyeing techniques. All are meant to be special and complementary to the figure.
I love wearing unique one of a kind blouses as it allows me to put my outfits together quickly and still look unique. Add jewelry, scarves or shawls for a coordinated look. Most have been over dyed 3-4 times to achieve subtle colors side by side colors with a little punch. I used shibori dyeing techniques combined with hand painting. I have a number of different types of shawls, natural colored hand woven cottons, cut silk rayon velvet, silk and rayon Devore. Take a look and see. One style shawl has been made into a poncho type garment. These can be worn in three different ways giving you 3 garments in one. They can be worn with the long fringed area in the front. This style creates a back which is the width of the shawl itself, usually 22” wide at the back. The second style would be to turn the long section to back and this creates a garment with the 22” area in the front. Many women tell me they like this style the best as it covers all of the bottom area. The third style is to turn the garment to the side giving creating a garment which sits slanted on your shoulders and hangs long at one side and shorter on the other. Very cute and fun to play with.
Scarves are fun and add a great accessory to your wardrobe. These most of the scarves are made from cut silk and velvet mix which hand beautifully, feel like butter on your skin and are fun to wear.
